Zeiss 7x50 U-boat binoculars 'blc'

A very nice pair of Zeiss 'blc' 7x50 fixed-focus U-boat binoculars.

Each U-boat would have carried a total of 10 of these binoculars for use on the various watch duties whilst surfaced.

Finished in the typical shade of yellow/green, this particular set retains the vast majority of the original factory-applied paint.

The rubber armour, Benutzer ocular cover and neck strap are top quality reproductions to complete the binocular.

The optics produce a very nice sharp and bright image which is a pleasure to behold. The lenses also retain the more scarcely seen late-war red coloured coatings.

Overall, a pair which still remains as both a displayable and usable example of an iconic artefact from the infamous U-boat arm of the Kriegsmarine naval forces!
