Zeiss 7x50 U-boat binoculars 'blc'

A very nice pair of Zeiss 'blc' 7x50 fixed-focus U-boat binoculars, in completely original used condition.
 
Each U-boat would have carried a total of 10 of these binoculars for use on the various watch duties whilst surfaced. 
 
Finished in the typical shade of yellow/green, this particular set retains the vast majority of the original factory-applied as well as all of the period black rubber armour.
 
The optics are outstanding, and produce a super sharp and bright image which is a pleasure to behold. The lenses also retain the more scarcely seen late-war red coloured coatings. 
 
Overall, a pair which still remains as both a displayable and usable 'been there' example of an iconic artefact from the infamous U-boat arm of the Kriegsmarine naval forces!
