A very nice pair of mid to late-war Zeiss 'blc' coded 7x50 U-boat binoculars, complete with all of the original outer rubber armour.
Each U-boat would have carried a complement of 10 of these binoculars for use on watch duties whilst surfaced.
Factory finished in the typical KM shade of yellow/green, this particular set still retains 95%+ of the original wartime applied paint finish - this has been cleaned of a later black layer applied over the top.
The fixed-focus and coated lenses on this pair produce a wonderful clear and usable image, as is to be expected from Zeiss optical instruments built to this standard.
A super binocular that can still be put to good use to this day!
