Zeiss 7x50 U-boat binoculars 'blc'

A stunning pair of mid to late-war Zeiss 'blc' coded 7x50 U-boat binoculars in full original condition, complete with all of the outer rubber armour and correct leather neck strap.  
 
Each U-boat would have carried a complement of 10 of these binoculars for use on watch duties whilst surfaced.
 
Factory finished in the typical KM shade of yellow/green, this particular set retains 98%+ of the original finish - definitely rating them as one of the best surviving examples on the market today. The original rubber armour, remaining in excellent condition throughout, only cements that fact! 
 
Some additional and interesting history are the racing related tags attached to the neck strap, dated to the late 1950s / early 1960s. 
 
The fixed-focus and coated lenses on this pair produce a wonderful clear and usable image, as is to be expected from Zeiss optical instruments built to this standard. Pretty much perfect optics to use! 
 
A pair that are about as good as this model of highly sought-after U-boat binoculars get and the ideal example for any discerning collector!
