Zeiss 7x50 Kriegsmarine U-boat Nordsee binoculars
ON HOLD A.Z.
A scarce early-war variant of the Kriegsmarine 7x50 U-boat binoculars, with the enlarged adjustable oculars.
This is a distinctive variant which is identical to that which can be seen in period photos; such as being slung around the neck of U-boat ace Korvettenkapitän Reinhard Hardegen, aboard U-123, as shown.
Whilst with clear signs of usage, they remain very nicely inscribed with the Carl Zeiss Jena maker's logo - as well as retaining fully intact KM and Nordsee 'N' property markings.
Interestingly, a '+' lubrication marking has also been applied - not something we can recall ever seeing before until now!
The optics remain functional - but would also certainly benefit from an internal clean if desired for usage purposes.
All in all, a displayable original pair of the iconic Zeiss Kriegsmarine issue binoculars!
