Zeiss 7x50 Kriegsmarine binoculars 'M.A.Z.a.'
An exceptionally rare pair of early-war Kriegsmarine binoculars that were issued to the 'M.A.Z.a' (Marine Artillerie Zeugamt), and were within a production run of just 100 examples during 1939!
They are very nicely inscribed with the Carl Zeiss Jena maker's logo, as well as completely intact original KM property markings. The 'T' designation for coated lenses is also present.
Interestingly, this particular pair have been retrofitted with original Kriegsmarine rubber eyecups that are more normally associated with the 20/80 degree 10x80 binoculars! Most likely to make them more friendly for user comfort, and they can also still be extended inwards/outwards just like the gas mask oculars before them.
As to be expected with quality Zeiss binoculars such as these the optics still remain in extremely good, clear and useable order to this day.
In a decade of collecting optics this is the only pair of these highly elusive M.A.Z.a binoculars that we have ever had to offer!
A pair that're surely not to be missed for any serious collectors of Kriegsmarine related equipment items and/or optics!
