A wonderful example of the mid to late-war period 'Patronenkasten 900' wooden ammo box which remains in excellent condition.
This box could have held ammo for various German small arms. Including standard 7.92x57mm rounds for the K98k, MG34/42, G/K43 etc; 9x19mm for the MP40, P08, P38 etc; as well as 7.92x33mm Kurz for the StG series of rifles...
It would prove very difficult to upgrade on this fine example, with both of the rope carrying handles remaining intact, intact stencilling and no damage or woodworm etc.
