A late-war 1944/45 simplified steel production Patronenkasten 41 model ammo box which clearly started out life in the standard factory ordnance tan (Dunkelgelb), before being overpainted in a winter whitewash finish.
It remains exactly as it was found, with much of the hand-applied whitewash camo remaining intact.
The box is also visibly maker marked 'ets' to the top of the lid, as well as featuring a unit marking having been applied in the typical position on top of the lid.
An incredibly rare opportunity to obtain a truly original winter camouflaged piece of MG34/42 equipment - amongst the hardest original camo variations to find - and a certain veteran of the last winter campaign during 1944/45!
