Volkssturm M40 beaded helmet 'EF64'

Volkssturm M40 beaded helmet 'EF64'

£0.00Price

A truly untouched beaded M40 helmet which appears to have undergone conversion to a combat helmet at some point very late in the war - most likely for use by Volkssturm forces of the Wehrmacht during 1945!

The interior has been fitted with a very crude leather liner, with no reinforcement band (hence the deformity in shape) and simply pinned to three cork pieces, as shown. The full-length leather chinstrap, which is again of poor quality, is also retained.

The shell itself is maker coded and size stamped 'EF64' to indicate production by Emaillerwerk AG, Fulda and is lot numbered '74'.

Overall, a very interesting and truly honest helmet - if only it could talk!
