Tan/red camouflage MG34/42 ammo box 'ets'

Here's another of the Normandy barn-found ammo boxes for the MG34/42. 
 
This Patronenkasten 41 has received a red splotch camouflage finish over the factory tan paint, along with various remains of sand and dried clay being still attached to the surface - owing to the fact that this example remains in completely untouched condition! 
 
The box is maker coded 'ets' to the top. 
 
There are also signs of battle damage to the top edge on one side, as shown. However, this is mostly hidden by the lid when closed.
