Tan MG34/42 Gurttrommel 'ddf'

A nice original mid to late-war 50 round drum basket or Gurttrommel for the MG34/42. 
 
This particular example retains the vast majority of the original factory-applied tan paint and is maker coded 'ddf', denoting manufacture by Lohmann-Werke, A.G., Bielefeld.

Having been protected by storage grease throughout, the interior is also in good condition and even the white painted directional arrow for the belt remains intact. 

Externally, there are some relatively minor dings and dents from service use, as shown - but nothing that imapcts upon the items function. 
 
Surely the number one accessory to pair with any MG34 or MG42!
