A very nice lightweight aluminium Patronenkasten 34 ammo can for the MG34/42, finished in the original grey/brown spray camouflage pattern, typical of the early-war period.
Additionally, stencil marked with the text 'Nz 941' as a reference to having once been part of the Kriegsmarine U-boat bunker pens in St Nazaire, France.
This example is Waffenamt and dated '1940' to the lid, alongside the maker's logo.
