RARE 6x30 Dienstglas 'Hensoldt' factory refurb binoculars
A very rare and desirable early example of the 6x30 Dienstglas field binoculars, produced by Hensoldt Wetzlar.
They are a pair which have clearly been refurbished by the Hensoldt factory themselves during the war; having undergone an update to the 'bmj' maker code (& '+' lubrication marking) in the process.
Interestingly, the previous early Hensoldt maker's logo can still be seen on the left-hand prism plate - as well as the serial number etc on the right-hand side - when under the right lighting, as shown.
They have also received the typical mid-war textured paint coating to the barrels, rather than the leatherette finish that they would have once had when originally produced.
Optically functional but would benefit from cleaning if so desired. The Strichplatte range finding reticule remains intact inside.
A really superb example of a 6x30 Dienstglas binocular, and one that would surely be unique within even the most advanced optical equipment collections!
