Named tropical camouflage gas mask canister '1940'

A lovely original and completely untouched tropical camouflage gas mask canister, which is maker marked and dated '1940 ' to the inner lens compartment lid.
 
The piece is also named to a "W. Kadmers", as shown. 
 
The can retains the vast majority of the tropical tan overpaint over the original factory-applied dark green. It is also clearly marked with the relatively low rack number '33'. 
 
 
 
The canister also comes complete with both of the original long and short carry straps, exactly as it was found! 
 
A stunning, guaranteed original example of a highly desirable tropical camouflaged gas mask canister. It would make for the perfect addition to a tropical mannequin or a display of helmets and equipment etc in the same camo scheme!
