A very scarce and extremely sought after wooden 'Luftdichter Patronenkasten' (airtight ammo box) which once held 2100 rounds of Pistolenpatronen 43 ammunition for the MP44/StG44 series of assault rifles, during 1944!
The box is retained in very good condition, with fully functioning handles, hinges and front locking latches - as well as the internal lining and rubber seal to the lid.
It is maker coded and dated 'djv 1942', with the designatory stencil markings also remaining extremely clear to the lid.
The perfect accessory to add to any MP44 display, as well as being an example which would prove exceptionally difficult to upgrade!
