A remarkable, mint condition mid-war era Patronenkasten 34 ammo can for the MG34/42.
This unissued example retains 99% (!) of the original factory grey-green paint finish, with the typical red oxide primer also visible beneath in some areas. Additionally, all of the leather handle covers remain intact, and the closure mechanism/hinges are still fully operational.
The box is clearly Waffenamt proof marked to the lid, as shown.
They simply do not come any better than this, with this one arguably being the best example of the many MG ammo tins that we've had to offer over the years!
