A scarce original wartime production wooden buttstock for the MG42 in very nice, combat used condition.
This example was one of those which clearly underwent reinforcement in the field, as ordered of Waffenmeisters, to prevent undue cracking and deterioration when used extensively.
Completely untouched and not modified with any post-war markings or serial numbers etc.
The perfect part with which to replace any post-war buttstock as so commonly found on the vast majority of survivng MG42's today!
