MG34T Panzermantel bipod adapter

Scarce original forward bipod mounting bracket/front sight for the MG34T Panzermantel. This part would have been held within the MG-Zubehör box (see separate listing), which in turn was stored within the armoured vehicle, and formed part of the vital kit for use in the event of evacuation - to convert the MG34T for use in a ground combat role. 
 
This particular example is in very good, fully functioning condition and retains much of its original wartime finish. The part is nicely maker coded 'cnx' denoting manufacture by Gustav Appel Maschinenfabrik, Berlin-Spandau.
