MG34T Panzermantel ground kit box

A very rare original 'MG-Zubehör' (MG accessories) box for the MG34T Panzermantel. This box would have been stored within the Panzer (IV, Panther, Tiger, King Tiger etc) or other AFV, and held the vital ground adaptation kit (MG34 buttstock, bipod, clamps, AA sight, sling etc) which was to be used in the event of evacuation from the vehicle. 
 
This particular example retains the vast majority of the original ivory/tan paint, and has then at some point received a secondary red oxide coat - which was a colour finish used towards the very end of the war. The area on the front of the box, where the stencil designation 'MG-Zubehör' would have originally been, can also still be seen. All of the internal wooden fixtures and fittings have been sympathetically restored, and as such the box is now all ready to be kitted out with the necessary MG34 parts again!
