MG34 metal-tipped Bakelite buttstock 'S/243 WaA26'

A very scarce, original example of the highly sought-after reinforced MG34 Bakelite buttstock with steel tips - as primarily intended for use on the Eastern Front! 
 
Whilst showing typical wear etc as associated with combat use, this example still remains in very nice overall condition with a great shine and an appealing speckled finish to the Bakelite itself. 
 
In addition, the stock is still very nicely marked with the pantograph-applied 'S/243' maker and 'WaA26' Waffenamt proof marks, denoting production by the Mauser Werke (Borsigwalde) factory. 
 
A lovely, honest example that is ready to be fitted to any MG34!
