A scarce original wartime blue canvas breech action cover for the MG34. Still presented in excellent overall condition, only with some dryness to the untreated leather parts.
Very nice marked with makers code 'bdq' for Ehrhardt u. Kirsten, Koffer- u. Lederwarenfabrik, Leipzig, dated 1943 and Waffenamt proofed.
Given that the MG34 was prone to stoppages if it was to become contaminated during field use, this was a vital accessory and one that is rarely seen today!
