MG34/42 P-Kasten 'brc'

Nice late-war Petroleum-kasten for the MG34/42 in original factory tan paint (empty). Repurposed from a standard ammunition can, it is the stencilled 'P' marking which designates that this box once held both of the "Öl" and "Petroleum" oil containers inside. 
 
These items would have been a vital set of accessories for any MG gunner who needed to clean their weapon, and in turn ensure it remained in fully operational condition. This particular box is maker coded 'brc' for Fr. Weber & Co., Berlin, and is of late-war production c. 1944.
