A very nice fully functioning 50 round drum (Gurttrommel) for the MG34/42.
This example still retains the vast majority of the original wartime factory-applied field grey/blue paint, with red oxide interior. It has been well preserved by storage grease, the remains of which can still be seen.
The drum is clearly maker coded/dated 'hqu 43' - indicating production by Markes & Co. Metallwarenfabtik u. Apparatebau, in 1943.
