A nice original drum carrier frame (Gurttrommelträger) for the MG34/42.
This example is in completely 'as found' condition, with the factory-applied field grey paint remaining intact to a decent degree throughout. Both of the horse hair cushioning pads are also still fitted.
The frame is faintly maker marked 'bpr' (date illegible) denoting manufacture by Johannes Grossfuss, Metall- u. Locierwarenfabrik, Doebeln, Saxony.
