An excellent original pre-WWII starter tab for the MG34/42 ammo belt.
This example is very nicely maker marked 'SWITZ' with a date of 6.40 (June 1940) to the main pull tab. The small connector tab is also marked with the matching maker, produced a month earlier in May 1940, as shown.
A very rarely seen maker code and date combination on the MG34/42 starter tabs!
