A superb, 'coconut' canteen which remains fitted with its very scarce original and highly sought after green coloured resin cup - exactly as found by a previous owner in Normandy!
The canteen bottle is maker marked and dated 1941. The scarce variant webbing strap, whilst showing signs of wear, is complete and remains in good undamaged shape overall.
A wonderful combat used set where you can be sure that all parts have always been together since use during the pivotal battles in 1944!
