An original wartime pair of the earlier Porro II variation of 7x50 binoculars - originally produced by Leitz Wetzlar for use by Kriegsmarine forces.
These being a very interesting set in that they are both marked for Leitz and also Zeiss. The reasoning why or indeed when this occurred is unknown - but the binoculars certainly appear to have been refurbished (by Zeiss?) at some stage given the finish etc.
Despite one internal prism chip, the binoculars still remain functional.
Whatever the true story behind this pair, they remain as a very attractive set indeed for display within any collection!
