A scarce example of the original Bakelite 'Benutzer' ocular cover / rainguard as was originally fitted to the early variants of 7x50 Kriegsmarine / U-boat binoculars produced by E. Leitz Wetzlar.
This one also appears to have the original owner's name very lightly inscribed to the top surface.
A rarely seen spare part that is very often missing from such KM binoculars today!
