An untouched, totally 'as found' example of the late-war variant of Patronenkasten 41 ammo can for the MG34/42, with simplified construction features.
The box still retains the vast majority of the original factory tan paint throughout, and is very nicely maker coded and dated 'ada 1944'.
In addition, the field-applied number of '21' is painted to the top lid and on one of the sides, as shown. Denoting, most likely, either the MG it was used with or as part of a series of MG kit in use with a particular unit.
Internally, it retains the rubber seal to the upper lid and all hinges and latches operate as they should.
A really nice and honest piece for any display of late-war combat equipment!
