A stunning, late-war period leather K98k / K43 sling (note that the StG44 series of rifles were also designed to accept this same sling).
This particular example looks to have only been issued for a relatively short period and has therefore avoided any oiling, hence retaining its original colour and even the 'Kar.' ink stamp!
The deep ricasso cross-hatch pattern is retained and the leather remains supple throughout.
It is getting very hard to find such slings in this condition!
