A very nice original late-war gas mask canister, clearly maker coded 'pfk' and dated 1944 to the inner lens compartment.
The vast majority of the wartime green paint remains intact and the pouch has a nice makeshift field-applied long carry strap fitted. It also has the rack number '37' applied to the exterior.
Internally, it retains an M30 gas mask exactly as it was found - note damage to the straps - and spare lenses within the lid, as shown.
A good, displayable piece of late-war combat equipment that has definitely 'been there' and seen it!
