Late-war 10x80 Flakfernrohr 'cxn'
A super US veteran bring-back set of the iconic D.F. 10x80 Flakfernrohr binoculars!
These are clearly a late-war example, with all of the component parts finished in ordnance tan or Einheitsfarbe. They are also clearly maker coded 'cxn' - indicating manufacture by Emil Busch, Rathenow.
Notably though, is the fact that this set features the rarely seen multi-coated lenses! These provide incredible light gathering properties; very much perceptible when compared to a regular 10x80.
As such, the optics produce an amazingly bright and sharp image that is a real pleasure to use. The the crosshair aiming reticule remaining intact within the right-hand side.
Despite some loss to part of the Bakelite filter knob, as shown, this mechanism all still functions perfectly and adjusts through the 4x various sun lenses exactly as it should.
One of the best optical condition sets which we have had the pleasure to offer!
