A stunning original Kriegsmarine Bordmutze sidecap in dark blue cloth. This example remains in good used condition, and is fitted with the usual factory insignia to the front peak.
This one also comes fitted with a lovely original tradition pin badge for U-1131, as found.
U-1131 was a type VIIC U-boat and was commanded by Oberleutnant zur See Günther Fiebig. Ultimately, the U-boat was to meet its demise on the 30th March 1945 in Rüschkanal at Hamburg-Finkenwerder as a result of a US bombing raid. The boat was located inside a pontoon dock south-east of U-boat pen Fink II.
