Kriegsmarine U-boat Officers leather jacket '1942'
£0.00Price
A nice, honest original example of the long grey leather jacket as issued to and used by U-boat personnel - with this particular variant most often seen in use onboard by higher ranking crewmen/Officers.
This example remains in good, supple condition yet with the usual discolouration and wear to be expected from service use - and likely continued use post-war as well. The two detached original KM buttons were discovered within one of the many pockets, alongside the vintage British bus ticket as shown, and are included.
Beneath areas such as pocket flaps, collar and internally; the original grey/blue leather colour can still be seen.
The interior is lined with the typical black blanket type material, remaining in very good condition, with rayon lining to the sleeves and cuffs.
Rather unusually, the label highlighting the maker, size and date markings also remains completely intact - indicating manufacture by Lederjacken-Hilbert, Chemnitz, during 1942. The jacket is also of a large size '50'.
A good overall example of its type, which would form an ideal base to use for a U-boat mannequin setup or general collection of KM artefacts!
