A incredibly rare optic headrest pad for the Kriegsmarine 8x60 deck mounted binoculars that were produced by Carl Zeiss Jena.
The dark brown coloured rubber remains in very good, undamaged condition and comes complete with the black painted brass attachment bracket and locking nut.
Already missing from the vast majority of the few surviving 8x60 deck mounted binoculars - it is extremely likely that this represents one of, if not the only example of this key component which exists today as a spare!
