A superb lightweight aluminium Patronenkasten 34 ammo can for the MG34/42, finished in the original grey/brown spray camouflage pattern - a typical scheme in the early-war period between 1939-40.
This example is WaA and dated 1940 to the lid, along with the maker's logo marking. Plus the MG34 serial number with which it was once paired. Indeed, so good is this example that even the ink Waffenamt proof remains visible to one of the ends!
All of the hinges and handles operate perfectly, as well as retaining the original leather covers. A wonderful piece for any MG34/42 collection or equipment display!
