Gestell 38 Flakfernrohr optic tripod 'blc'

A nice and completely untouched example of the Gestell 38 optic tripod. This model was primarily issued with the 10x80 Flakfernrohr binoculars, but was also employed with other larger models. 
 
This one retains a fair amount of the original factory tan paint, as well as the leather leg retaining strap and, ultimately, hasn't been messed with post-war like many have. The maker's plate is still retained to the top, with the 'blc' code for Carl Zeiss Jena - which isn't a commonly encountered maker for these!
