A scarce early-war pair of the Kriegsmarine issue Zeiss 7x50 'gas ocular' binoculars.
This example incorporates many component parts made from brass, making for a much more substantial binocular than later counterparts.
The rubber eyepieces are still the original wartime fittings, designed to be used in conjunction with a gas mask if needed, and remain in very good shape.
Markings to the prism plates have been rubbed somewhat, but the designation and serial number etc do still remain legible as shown.
The optics still produce a nice clear and usable image!
