An original, unissued NOS laminated wooden buttstock for the series of 'Sturmgewehr' rifles. This particular one is an early example, with the wider profile, as found on the MkB42, MP43/1 and MP43 variations.
This design was subsequently replaced with the narrower examples (matching the K98 stock profile) to enable storage in existing mounts within armoured vehicles.
A very rare spare part to find!
