A scarce early variant of storage case for the Kriegsmarine 7x50 binoculars produced by 'Carl Zeiss Jena'.
This particular model is made from the typical black rubberised ersatz material, and remains in uncleaned condition, exactly as it was found.
The case is nicely maker marked, alongside the Kriegsmarine eagle 'M IV/1' proof marking - the latter of which is still intact and has not been erased like seen on many examples today.
The leather shoulder strap, whilst now somewhat dry and cracked, remains attached - as do all of the internal fittings, including the holders for 4x lens filters.
All in all, a very nice and scarcely seen accessory which would make a great addition to a pair of Kriegsmarine issued Carl Zeiss 7x50 binoculars!
