Deactivated Waffen-SS MG37(t) 'dov 1942'
An incredible showpiece - known to be the only MG37(t) in private ownership within the UK; and indeed just 1 of only 2 examples in total. The other, having been directly imported alongside this one during the 1990s, now residing in the Imperial War Museum collection...
Hence it should be noted upfront that this example is not one of the numerous so-called German occupation examples often offered on the market today - which are actually Venezuelan or other foreign contract in origin.
Instead, here is a proper WWII German-occupation produced "MG37 (t)" variant of the Czech ZB vz. 37 - purposely built under direct contract of, and for direct issue to, the Waffen-SS during 1942 - by the Zbrojovka Vsetín factory utilising the 'dov' maker code.
Still in original wartime condition, and also coming complete with its Lafette MG37(t) tripod stand in tan camouflage paint!
A setup which words cannot do full justice - but a simply superb example for any serious collector of deactivated WW2 German small arms and/or specific W-SS related equipment.
As well as comprising an armament which was utilised aboard numerous German armoured vehicles; such as the Czech-derived Panzer 38(t) and Marder III etc!
This item comes complete with its UK deactivation certificate.
*N.B. Proof of age (18+) will be required before purchase. Collection only within the mainland UK to be arranged.
