Deactivated Mauser K98k ZF41 sniper 'ar 43'

A unique example to find within the UK - the only true original ZF41 K98k sniper rifle known thus far to be located here in deactivated form... amongst a sea of fakes which are nearly always unscrupulously sold as being otherwise...

This particular example was manufactured by Mauser-Werke AG, Werk Borsigwalde, Berlin-Borsigwalde, under the 'ar' maker code, during 1943.

A totally honest K98k rifle in which all of the serial numbers (except for the bolt - which itself is all matching) are fully matched throughout.

The integral factory fitted ZF41 scope rail is affixed to the left-hand side of the receiver, along with the special cut-out to the wooden stock to enable correct fitment and quick attachment of the mount.

This example also comes complete with the guaranteed original & matching 'cxn' coded ZF41 sniper scope / mount / case / cleaning accessories set - again, NOT a reproduction as is seen 99% of the time - and the optics still remain clear and functional.

Indeed, what is perhaps even more special is that the serial number for the entire ZF41 scope & case set also falls within the exact same Mauser 'c' suffix production batch of the rifle as well.

Ultimately, the condition of this ZF41 K98k remains exactly as any serious collector of WWII era small arms should wish to find - full original wartime blued finish, with no postwar refinishing etc having taken place.

A lovely condition, original mid-war era leather sling is also included to complete the setup.

All in all a magnificent example that would surely form the most unique centrepieces of any deactivated WW2 German small arms collection!
