Deactivated 9mm P38 'byf 44'

Now here is somewhat of a rarity to find these days, especially in this condition!  A Walther P38 which retains full factory matching serial numbers (excl. magazine which is unnumbered) and full original wartime finish. No post-war army refurbishment or capture markings of any sort! 
 
This particular example is crisply marked with the maker code and date 'byf 44', signifing production by Mauser-Werke AG, Oberndorf, during 1944. 
 
Alongside the original blued finish, which displays signs of only relatively minor use and holster wear, this P38 also retains the stunning speckled red Bakelite grips - typical of this production block for Mauser made examples. 
 
A beautiful example, straight from our own personal collection, which would prove extremely difficult to upgrade. If you should only want the one P38 in your collection, here it is! 
 
This item comes with its 2006 dated UK deactivation certificate.
