D.F. 10x80 Flakfernrohr 'cxn'
A very nice, US veteran bring-back example of the iconic D.F. 10x80 Flakfernrohr binoculars.
These are clearly a later war example, with the component parts finished in ordnance tan or Einheitsfarbe. They are also clearly maker coded 'cxn' - indicating manufacture by Emil Busch, Rathenow.
The optics are excellent, producing a very clear and sharp image - with the wide field of view for which these binoculars are well known! Note there has been an impact to the right-hand side objective lense guard ring, as shown - which has served its intended purpose and does not affect the view in any way.
All adjustment knobs and the sun filters work perfectly.
The binoculars are also fitted with the original sunshields and the more scarcely seen orange coloured rubber headrest pad which, unusually, has not perished at all as is so often the case with these particular examples!
All in all, a super example of its type that would be perfect for display and/or continued use!
