Complete 6x30 Dienstglas 'E. Leitz Wetzlar' binoculars + accessories
A lovely, honest example of a pre-war 6x30 Dienstglas field binocular, clearly maker coded 'E. Letiz Wetzlar'.
Typical of the quality of manufacturing during this period, this pair are constructed from brass and finished in black paint with brown leatherette coverings to each barrel.
They are also fitted with an original leather neck strap and ocular cover - with matching 'E. Leitz Wetzlar' logo and 1936 date - and button tab, also with very faint 1936 date.
The left prism plate features the original owner's name - "Heldt".
The optics are excellent, focus very smoothly, and come complete with the H/6400 Strichplatte rangefinding reticle remaining within the right-hand side.
Suitable for either display and/or continued use, this is an example of a 6x30 which really has it all!
