Channel Islands - camouflage gas mask canister 'Oberw. Dupps'
£0.00Price
A truly fantastic, original early-war manufacture camouflage gas mask canister in a typical 3-tone red/green/tan combination camo scheme.
This example is in completely untouched condition throughout, displaying typical combat wear, yet with the majority of the spray applied camouflage finish remaining intact to a high degree.
Internally, the canister is named to a Oberwachtmeister Camill Dupps, with feldpost number 35034D.
This number relates to the Artillerie-Regiment 319, and specifically the 9th Battery. This was a unit deployed to the British Channel Islands, and formed the core of the troops garrisoned across the islands during the war.
A truly wonderful item with even more research potential almost certainly possible!
