Leitz 7x50 Kriegsmarine U-boat binoculars 'beh' + case 'beh 1944'

£0.00Price

A stunning, mint condition pair of 7x50 binoculars produced by Leitz Wetzlar (under the 'beh' maker code), as used by Kriegsmarine surface ship / U-boat crewmen etc.

Coming directly from the estate of a British Royal Navy veteran, and as such having never been offered on the collectors' market until now, the binoculars themselves are probably the best condition pair of this type which we have ever handled!

Unlike most, this pair still retains the original rubber armour to the bridge section and both objectives. This armour remains in great shape and is undamaged due to them clearly having always been stored away in the case.

As usual with Leitz optics, they will require a service/overhaul to return them to a fully usable state due to some internal outgassing.

They come complete with their original Presstoff storage case, which also remains in great condition aside from a broken front closure tab - as is very often seen. It is marked with the matching 'beh' maker code and dated 1944, as well as having the large KM eagle property mark to the lid.
