RUKA 6x30 Dienstglas 'dym'
A notably rare pair of 6x30 Dienstglas, which are maker coded 'dym' for production by Runge u. Kaulfuss, Rathenow (RUKA Rathenow). The presence of both the 'K.F.' marking and the given serial number would place the production date for this pair as sometime c. 1941/42.
The exterior condition is good, with much of the original black paint and leatherette covering remaining intact. Nevertheless, some signs of frontline combat usage, with the associated wear to the exposed high points, is also visible.
Internally, the optics would require some attention if they are intended to be used regularly, due to the presence of some fungal spores. Aside from this though, the view still remains clear and they also retain the H/6400 Strichplatte reticule to the right hand side.
Overall, a very nice and honest Dienstglas from an uncommonly observed manufacturer and one who, interestingly, were mainly associated with supplying their optical equipment direct to both Polizei & Waffen-SS personnel!
