A truly wonderful and completely untouched example of the compact wooden 'Patronenkasten 900' ammo crate, still complete with both carry ropes and the original factory labels!
The box clearly once held 900 rounds of Patronen S.m.E. (armour piercing) ammo, marked as being manufactured during February 1945. Another internal label also details information relating to the use of this ammunition with an 's.M.G.' or heavy MG34 / MG42.
Overall, it would prove very difficult to upgrade on this highly desirable issued (!) example, with intact labels, if late-war last ditch combat used equipment is your thing!
