Splinter camo factory helmet cover 'SS 204'

Splinter camo factory helmet cover 'SS 204'

£0.00Price

A very nice "textbook" original Splittertarn camo Heer helmet cover, which was originally discovered in the Normandy region, and was a favourite piece of equipment amongst units such as the Grossdeutschland infantry division etc.

This particular example is clearly maker marked 'SS 204' to the interior and would appear to be for a small size helmet shell.

It has been left exactly as it was found - showing signs of extensive use, with some damage mainly seen around the rim and at the very top of the dome as shown. All of the foliage loops, however, remain fully intact throughout and colours still vibrant. It also retains both of the original splinter camo tie strings.

All in all, a piece which gives off that really appealing 'been there' look that is far and away better, in our opinion, than any of the ubiquitous mint/unissued covers which are out there today!
